Peter Biskind is an American cultural critic, film historian, and journalist whose writing focuses on Hollywood, film culture, and the entertainment industry. He served as editor-in-chief of American Film from 1981 to 1986 and executive editor of Premiere from 1986 to 1996, and has contributed to publications including Vanity Fair, Esquire, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. He is the author of books including Easy Riders, Raging Bulls, Down and Dirty Pictures, Star, The Sky Is Falling, and Pandora's Box.
