Laurence Leamer is an American author and journalist whose writing career began in magazine journalism, with work appearing in publications including The New York Times Magazine, Harper’s, Playboy, and Newsweek. He is best known for bestselling narrative nonfiction and biographies of prominent political, cultural, and entertainment figures, including the Kennedy family, Johnny Carson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Truman Capote, Alfred Hitchcock, and Andy Warhol. He has written more than twenty books, as well as novels and an off-Broadway play.
