Hannah Kent is an Australian writer born in Adelaide in 1985. Her debut novel, Burial Rites (2013), became an international bestseller and launched a career focused on literary historical fiction. She followed it with The Good People (2016) and Devotion (2021), co-founded the literary journal Kill Your Darlings, wrote the screenplay for Run Rabbit Run, and published the memoir Always Home, Always Homesick in 2025.
