David Nasaw is an American historian, biographer, and bestselling nonfiction author whose writing focuses on U.S. cultural, social, business, and political history. He began with scholarly works on education, children, and public amusements before writing acclaimed biographies of William Randolph Hearst, Andrew Carnegie, and Joseph P. Kennedy, as well as broader histories such as The Last Million and The Wounded Generation. He is Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. Professor of History Emeritus at the CUNY Graduate Center and a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist.
