Paul Kix is an American nonfiction author, journalist, and editor. After writing and editing for publications including ESPN The Magazine, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and GQ, he turned to book-length narrative nonfiction. He is the author of The Saboteur, a bestselling biography of a French World War II commando, and You Have to Be Prepared to Die Before You Can Begin to Live, a history of the 1963 Birmingham civil-rights campaign; his magazine work has also been adapted for film.
