Sara Baume is an Irish novelist, short-story writer, essayist, and visual artist based in West Cork. She studied fine art and creative writing, and her debut novel, Spill Simmer Falter Wither, won the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. She has since published A Line Made by Walking, the nonfiction work handiwork, and Seven Steeples, and was named one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists in 2023.
