Paul Halpern is an American physicist and prolific popular-science author whose writing career began with Time Journeys in 1990. He has written numerous accessible books about cosmology, quantum physics, time, higher dimensions, and the history and cultural impact of science, including The Allure of the Multiverse, Flashes of Creation, Synchronicity, The Quantum Labyrinth, Einstein’s Dice and Schrödinger’s Cat, and Collider. He is a professor of physics, a Guggenheim Fellow, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
