Michael Booth is a British food and travel writer, journalist, broadcaster, and author of award-winning nonfiction. After beginning his writing career at an English-language magazine in Bangkok and studying journalism, he freelanced from Copenhagen, where he wrote the restaurant section of the Time Out guide. His books combine travel, food, cultural commentary, and history, and his work has appeared in publications including The Guardian, The Independent, Condé Nast Traveller, and Monocle.
