William Stevenson (1924–2013) was a British-born Canadian journalist and author who served as a British naval fighter pilot during World War II before becoming a foreign correspondent for The Toronto Star. He reported from Asia and Africa, produced documentaries for Canadian television and the BBC, and wrote 16 books spanning espionage, military history, biography, historical fiction, and children's literature. He is best known for the bestseller A Man Called Intrepid, along with 90 Minutes at Entebbe, Spymistress, Kiss the Boys Goodbye, and The Ghosts of Africa.
