Linda Lafferty is an American author of historically researched novels set in places and periods including Renaissance Italy, the Ottoman Empire, Old Bohemia, and Napoleonic Russia. Her books include The Bloodletter’s Daughter, The Drowning Guard, The House of Bathory, The Shepherdess of Siena, The Girl Who Fought Napoleon, Fierce Dreamer, and Light in the Shadows, which she co-wrote with Andy Stone. She is a two-time Colorado Book Award winner, and her work has been translated into several languages.
