Set in 1606 Prague, The Bloodletter’s Daughter follows Don Julius, the emperor’s bastard son, whose madness leads him to unspeakable depravity after being banished to Bohemia. Under the care of a bloodletter, he becomes dangerously obsessed with Marketa, the bloodletter's daughter, believing she embodies the women from a mysterious manuscript that connects him to his sanity. As his mental state deteriorates, their intertwined fates spiral into a dark tale of passion and revenge, inspired by a true crime that shook the Hapsburg dynasty.
