Anderson Cooper is an American journalist and author whose nonfiction draws on his work as an international correspondent and his family history. He wrote the war and disaster memoir Dispatches from the Edge, co-wrote The Rainbow Comes and Goes with his mother Gloria Vanderbilt, and co-wrote the family histories Vanderbilt and Astor with Katherine Howe. His books combine memoir, biography, social history, and narrative journalism.
