Han Kang is a South Korean writer who began her literary career in 1993 by publishing poetry and later became known primarily for her novels and short stories. Her internationally acclaimed works, including The Vegetarian, Human Acts, The White Book, Greek Lessons, and We Do Not Part, often explore bodily experience, trauma, memory, violence, and the fragility of human life. She received the 2024 Nobel Prize in Literature.
