Lindy West is an American writer, journalist, humorist, and screenwriter known for her sharp personal essays and cultural criticism. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Shrill, the political essay collection The Witches Are Coming, the film-criticism collection Shit, Actually, and the memoir Adult Braces. Her writing has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, Jezebel, GQ, and Vulture, and she co-created the Hulu comedy series Shrill.
