Caitlin Doughty is an American nonfiction author, mortician, and death-acceptance advocate. Her writing career began with Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, a memoir about working in a crematory, followed by From Here to Eternity, a travelogue examining death rituals around the world, and Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?, a bestselling work answering children’s questions about death and decomposition. She also created the Ask a Mortician web series and founded The Order of the Good Death.
