David Beard is a music writer, interviewer, and historian who has documented The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, and Southern California music culture for more than 30 years. He is the editor-in-chief of Endless Summer Quarterly, the officially endorsed Beach Boys publication, and has created official band programs and archival projects. His book All Summer Long draws on decades of interviews and research about The Beach Boys’ formative years.
