John Whitman is an American author who began his writing career in audiobook production before creating original Star Wars fiction, including the middle-grade Star Wars: Galaxy of Fear series. He later wrote novels and adaptations connected to properties such as 24, Zorro, Digimon, and Planet of the Apes, as well as nonfiction books on Krav Maga. After a period focused on martial-arts instruction and business, he returned to fiction with the science-fiction Disunion series, beginning with The Mantiz Gambit, and also published the Christian redemption memoir A Cross by Fire.
