Stefano Tambellini (born 1983 in Barga, Italy) is an illustrator, author, and independent filmmaker. After graduating in traditional animation from Turin’s Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, he moved to London and began illustrating children’s books for international publishers. He co-founded the animation label SenzaTesta with his sister Alice, writes and directs animated short films, and illustrates both children’s nonfiction—such as the What It Was Like to Be series—and middle-grade fiction.
