Thomas Asbridge is a British medieval historian and author who specializes in the Crusades, knighthood, and chivalry. He is a Reader in Medieval History at Queen Mary University of London and has written acclaimed narrative histories including The First Crusade, The Crusades, and The Greatest Knight, as well as The Black Death. He has also written and presented BBC documentaries on medieval history.
