Ryan T. Anderson, Ph.D., is an American political philosopher and author whose nonfiction examines marriage, religious liberty, gender identity, abortion, and related moral and constitutional issues. He is the author or coauthor of five books, including When Harry Became Sally, Truth Overruled, What Is Marriage?, and Tearing Us Apart, and his writing has appeared in major newspapers, journals, and policy publications. He is also the founding editor of Public Discourse and president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
