Adrian McKinty is a Northern Irish author who grew up in Belfast and studied philosophy at Oxford University. After teaching high school in Colorado, he became a full-time writer and published his debut crime novel, Dead I Well May Be, in 2003. He is best known for the Sean Duffy crime series set during the Troubles, as well as standalone thrillers including The Chain and The Island; he also writes young adult science fiction and co-edited Belfast Noir.
