The Sun Is God

In 1906 Colonial New Guinea, a small community of German nudists on the remote island of Kabakon leads a secluded, back-to-nature lifestyle, surviving primarily on coconuts and bananas. Following the suspicious death of one member, Max Lutzow, a retired British military police officer, Will Prior, is called in to investigate, unraveling a web of secrecy as the group insists that he died of malaria. As Prior probes deeper, he becomes increasingly convinced that the eccentric locals are concealing dark truths, especially during a seemingly celebratory feast that raises his alarm about their true intentions.
