Mick Herron is a British novelist and short-story writer best known for his award-winning Slough House espionage thrillers, beginning with Slow Horses (2010). Raised in Newcastle upon Tyne and educated at Oxford, he began his writing career with the Zoë Boehm detective series, starting with Down Cemetery Road (2003), and has also published standalone novels and short fiction. He lives in Oxford and writes full-time.
