Anna Jacobs is an English-Australian novelist who grew up in Lancashire and emigrated to Australia. She began writing fiction professionally in her early fifties and has published more than 100 novels, including historical sagas set in Lancashire and contemporary family and relationship stories set in Britain and Australia. She also writes fantasy under the pen name Shannah Jay, and her novel Pride of Lancashire won the 2006 Australian Romantic Book of the Year Award.
