The Trader's Reward

Set in 1871, this story follows Fergus Deagan as he navigates loss and new beginnings after his wife's death, promising to bring his family to Western Australia to reunite with his brother Bram. Cara Payton, once disowned for pregnancy, finds renewed purpose when caring for a baby and eventually accepting Fergus’s marriage proposal. As they face challenges during their voyage and upon arrival, including rivalries and financial hardships, the characters work toward building a new life together in Fremantle.
