Heir to Greyladies

In 1900 Hampshire, 15-year-old Harriet Benson's life takes a dramatic turn following her father's sudden death, leading her to escape her lecherous stepbrother Norris by entering service at the grand Dalton House. There, she forms a close bond with the owners' crippled son, Joseph, but their connection is tested when circumstances force him to leave. In a twist of fate, Harriet unexpectedly inherits the supposedly haunted Greyladies, which could offer her the refuge she seeks. As their families set out to undermine their happiness, Harriet and Joseph must confront whether their love—and the mystery of Greyladies—can endure.
