Martha Hall Kelly is a New York Times bestselling historical-fiction author whose debut novel, Lilac Girls, was published in 2016 and became an international bestseller. She followed it with the historical novels Lost Roses, Sunflower Sisters, The Golden Doves, and The Martha’s Vineyard Beach and Book Club, which draw on extensively researched true stories and feature women whose lives intersect with major historical events. Before becoming a novelist, she worked for many years as an advertising copywriter and studied journalism at Syracuse and Northwestern Universities.
