Claire North is the pseudonym of British author Catherine Webb, who began writing and publishing novels as a teenager and has also written under the name Kate Griffin. Her first major novel as Claire North, The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, became a critically acclaimed bestseller. She has since published award-winning speculative and literary fiction, including The Gameshouse, 84K, Notes from the Burning Age, and the Songs of Penelope trilogy.
