Two Lights of Hope

Set in Communist Romania in 1988, this story follows sixteen-year-old Adriana Nicu as she and her friend Gabi seek to uncover a forty-year-old mystery involving a Jewish family’s escape from the Nazis. Amid a tense climate of suspicion and danger, Adriana learns to navigate a world where trust is fragile, and rebellion flickers beneath the oppressive regime. With the help of an old Jewish man and her banned books, she finds a glimmer of hope in a dark, uncertain time.
