One Degree of Freedom

Set in 1987 Bucharest under Ceausescu’s oppressive regime, this story follows fifteen-year-old Adriana Nicu as she navigates a life dominated by government surveillance and societal expectations. When she discovers a hidden room filled with forbidden books, her perspective begins to shift, challenging her childhood beliefs and loyalties.
