Monkey Town

Set in the summer of 1925 in Dayton, Tennessee, this story follows fifteen-year-old Frances Robinson as her small town becomes the epicenter of a national debate over evolution and education. Against the backdrop of her personal experiences and her admiration for her teacher, John T. Scopes, the narrative explores how the town and its residents are drawn into discussions with famous thinkers about science, religion, and belief. As tensions rise, Frances begins to question her surroundings, her community, and her own perceptions.
