The Ginseng Hunter

Set along the Tumen River in China, "The Ginseng Hunter" follows the solitary life of a Chinese ginseng hunter who lives in the mountains, unaware of the broader world beyond his remote surroundings. His routine is disrupted when he encounters a young North Korean prostitute and becomes entangled in unfolding events that reveal the neighboring country's complex realities. Over the course of a year, he uncovers connections that threaten to upend his solitude and challenge his understanding of the world.
