A Free Life

In this poignant narrative, the Wu family—father Nan, mother Pingping, and son Taotao—embark on a journey to sever ties with China following the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre and seek a new life in the United States. As Nan navigates his disillusionment after abandoning his political science studies for poetry, the family faces the challenges of adapting to a foreign culture while holding onto their past.
