Capitol in Chains

In August 2010, Tamira Ci Thayne took a bold stand by chaining herself to a doghouse outside the Pennsylvania State Capitol to advocate for laws protecting dogs from being left chained for long periods. Her 54 days of protest brought attention to the overlooked needs of chained and penned dogs, inspiring efforts for change across the country. Thayne's story highlights her dedication to animal welfare and the ongoing fight to improve the lives of Man’s Best Friend. This second edition includes recent updates on legislation and related initiatives, emphasizing the continued relevance of her activism.
