Eugene Sandow, regarded as the first body art performer and professional bodybuilder, made a significant impact on popular culture with his physique and performances. Born Friedrich Wilhelm Müller in Prussia in 1867, Sandow gained fame after being showcased at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exhibition in Chicago, where audiences became captivated by his well-developed body. His contributions helped shape the early history of bodybuilding and muscular performance art.
