Timetable of Death

In 1859 at St Mary's Church in Spondon, a young girl playing hide-and-seek makes a startling discovery when she jumps into a freshly-dug grave to find a dead man already there. The body is that of Cedric Norton, a senior director of the Midland Railway. Inspector Colbeck and Sergeant Leeming are summoned to Derbyshire to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
