This sequel to the beloved Sarah, Plain and Tall explores themes of loyalty and change as Sarah grapples with her feelings about the prairie and her memories of Maine. When a drought and natural disasters threaten their land, Sarah temporarily leaves with Anna and Caleb for safety, leaving Papa behind to stay on the land he loves.
