This story follows Justin, a young Roman surgeon, and his relative Flavius as they uncover a plot to overthrow the Emperor during a tumultuous period in Roman Britain. In their adventures across England, they become secret agents tasked with protecting a historic Roman standard and ultimately rallying loyalists for a decisive battle.
