Deadly Black Pearls

In the quaint town of Ville Nouvelle, Louisiana, the antebellum spring mansion tours at LeFevre House take a dark turn when Emmaline Beard, a local theatrical producer, unwittingly becomes embroiled in a murder mystery. After an old friend's granddaughter, Carol Powell, unexpectedly thrusts a package of valuable black pearls into Emmaline's hands and subsequently turns up dead, Emmaline teams up with her lifelong friend Byrd Jeffcoat to uncover the truth. As they delve into the case, they encounter a series of shocking events, including another murder linked to a celebrity-led nuclear waste protest, raising questions about whether one or multiple killers are at work in their small town.
