In a near-future where many escape reality through virtual worlds, Zachary "Zee" Jones finds himself immersed in Gygax, a high fantasy game filled with magic, monsters, and adventure, after being arrested and placed in the Inmate Player Program. Despite the virtual setting, the dangers are real, and Zee must navigate challenges, forge alliances, and uncover secrets behind a mysterious sentient computer program called "the doctor."
