Purgatorio

Dante's Purgatory, the second canto of the Divine Comedy, explores the concept of purification through a journey divided into three sections: "Antipurgatorio", "Purgatorio", and "Earthly Paradise". The narrative unfolds across seven frames that each address one of the seven deadly sins—pride, envy, anger, sloth, greed, gluttony, and lust. Souls undergoing penance in Purgatory seek redemption, ultimately aiming to ascend to paradise.
