Ute Peak Country

Jackson Miggs is a reclusive figure living in a log cabin near Ute Peak, preferring solitude but maintaining some connections with local cowmen like Hyatt Tolman. His friendship with Frank McCoy involves exchanging pelts for money, which Frank retrieves for him annually, often accompanied by other characters and their cattle. This peaceful existence is challenged when new arrivals and shifting grazing lands threaten to bring trouble to the Ute Peak region.
