Blackberry and Wild Rose

Set in 18th-century London’s Spitalfields, Blackberry and Wild Rose follows a household of Huguenot silk weavers as their quest for the perfect silk design weaves together themes of ambition, love, and betrayal. The story explores the lives of Esther Thorel, who dreams of becoming a silk designer, and Sara Kemp, her newly-rescued lady’s maid, amid a backdrop of social unrest and household secrets. As Esther’s artistic talents flourish with the help of a gifted weaver, the household’s facade begins to crack, leading to a dramatic confrontation amid growing rebellion and upheaval.
