The Samurai's Garden

Set against the backdrop of the Japanese invasion of China, this story follows 20-year-old Chinese painter Stephen as he recuperates in a Japanese coastal village. Under the care of Matsu, a wise and reserved gardener, Stephen embarks on a transformative journey, gaining both physical strength and spiritual insight. Through their relationship and interactions with Sachi, a woman living with leprosy, the narrative explores themes of resilience, kindness, and inner growth.
