Lieutenant Frank Hastings finds himself in a race against time as he investigates a string of murders linked to a serial killer known as "the Masked Man," who sends chilling ransom notes to the city. After a well-respected doctor is shot dead in his home, Hastings discovers a note demanding $100,000 or a lawyer will be the next target. As panic spreads through San Francisco and the killer's threats escalate, Hastings and his team must quickly find a way to protect the city's prominent figures from becoming the next victims.
