Charleston's Daughter

In 1858 South Carolina, the lives of two young women, Caro Jarvie and Emily Jarvie, intertwine against the backdrop of slavery and societal expectations. Caro, a former planter's daughter returned to slavery after her father's death, yearns for freedom and ignites a transformative journey for both herself and Emily, who grapples with her own conscience after inheriting Caro as a slave.
