Ben Kendall’s death, initially ruled an accident due to his hoarding, is soon uncovered as the beginning of a series of chilling murders. His cousin, medical examiner Beverly Hillstrom, suspects foul play and enlists the help of Joe Gunther and his Vermont Bureau of Investigation team. As they delve deeper, they discover Ben's Vietnam past involves valuable photos that have attracted a dangerous hit squad, putting Beverly's daughter Rachel at grave risk. With time running out, Gunther must race to protect Rachel from a fate similar to her cousin’s.
