The Novice’s Tale

In the autumn of 1431, the serene life of the nuns at St. Frideswide's is disrupted by the arrival of the raucous Lady Ermentrude Fenner, who seeks to arrange a marriage for the saintly novice Thomasine, disregarding the chaos she brings. Amidst the ensuing turmoil, a shocking murder occurs, prompting Sister Frevisse, the hosteler, to step in as an amateur detective. Tasked with untangling a web of unholy passions and intrigue, she must prove Thomasine's innocence before it's too late.
