Across the River

At Mossgrove, the Phelan family farm, long-time hired hand Jack finds himself in the middle of a conflict between widow Martha Phelan and her son, Peter, who wishes to modernize their operations. Meanwhile, tensions escalate across the river at the Conway farm, where Matt Conway’s resentment toward the Phelans and his abusive behavior toward his wife, Biddy, create a dangerous atmosphere fueled by vengeance and bitterness.
