Alice Taylor is an Irish author from County Cork whose writing career began with the memoir To School Through the Fields in 1988, an acclaimed account of rural Irish childhood. She has since published more than 30 books, including memoirs, reflections on rural life, poetry, and fiction; her first novel, The Woman of the House, became a bestseller. Her work is known for its warm, nostalgic portraits of Irish village life, family, faith, and community.
